Passed away on November 19, 2018 after a brief battle with cancer at the age of 64, with her family by her side.
April was born prematurely on April 29, 1954 at the Galt Hospital, and proved to be a fighter despite the numerous difficulties that faced her. She lived all of her life in Hespeler, and left all of us way too soon.
April is survived by her mother, and best friend, Shirley, her sisters Sue (John), and Nancy (Mark), brother Jeff (Penny), and was predeceased by her father Rex (1993). She was a cherished aunt to Jason, Jeffry, Brittany, Tyson and Parker, as well as a great aunt of six and will be dearly missed. April enjoyed many hobbies and crafts, which she loved to share with her family. Although her life was fraught with many challenges she remained optimistic, patient, kind and rarely complained. She was happy to be out in the community, and spent time volunteering at St. Luke’s Place for several years.
A memorial service will be held this Friday November 23, 2018 at 2 pm at Lounsbury Funeral home, 1766 Franklin Blvd., Cambridge with internment to follow at New Hope Cemetery.
