Passed away peacefully on October 11th at her residence with her granddaughter by her side at the age of 91.
Beloved wife of the late Stewart Mundy (2011); loving mother of Wayne (the late Katie) Mundy. Cherished grandmother of Lee (Denis) and adoring great-grandmother of Finley.
Born October 5, 1927 in Timmins Ontario to Edward and Mary Mahoney, Kay grew up in a large family on their idyllic farm. As a young woman she moved to Hespeler, recruited to work in the textile mills, where she met her Husband Stewart and started her own family. She enjoyed many weekends and summers at Balsam Lake and many laughs at the Hespeler Legion. A great lover of music and dancing she was often the first and last on the dance floor. A warm smile and cheerful laugh were shared with many beloved friends and family over the years. Hers was a life well loved, and well lived. She will be greatly missed.
Kathleen’s family will receive relatives and friends at Lounsbury Funeral Home, 1766 Franklin Blvd., Cambridge on Saturday, October 27th from 10am until the time of the Memorial Service at 11am. Interment will follow at New Hope Cemetery, Cambridge. A celebration of life is to follow at the Hespeler Legion. Donations in Kay’s honour may be made to a charity of your choosing.
